Air Berlin, Germany's largest low cost operator, flies - in partnership with the Austrian airline, Niki - from several European countries to Chania in western Crete as well as to Heraklion further east.

The carrier's cheapest one-way fares from Germany to Crete can usually be found for around €120-€140 including taxes.
